HG-1 PRIME Part Names & Dimensions

Gearbox

The gearbox houses the miter gears and bearings that transfer power from the flywheel to the grinding mechanism. Engineered for durability and minimal maintenance, it requires little attention beyond an occasional inspection and lubrication.

Split Ring Hopper

The Split Ring Hopper features a two-piece design held together by magnets, allowing it to be easily separated and removed from the grinder. This provides convenient access to the upper burr assembly for cleaning and inspection.

Its carefully considered geometry helps guide coffee beans into the grinding chamber while minimizing stray beans during operation.

Burr Mount

The burr mount houses the HG-1 Prime’s custom 83mm conical burr set and serves as the primary grind adjustment mechanism.

Rotating the mount clockwise brings the burrs closer together for a finer grind, while turning it counterclockwise increases the distance between them for a coarser grind.

Burr Collar

The burr collar supports the burr assembly and secures it to the grinder’s frame. It provides a stable foundation for the burr mount and its adjustment mechanism.

Lower Funnel

Held in place by six rare-earth magnets, the lower funnel directs freshly ground coffee into your preferred collection vessel.

Its removable design provides convenient access to the underside of the burr assembly for cleaning and inspection.

Locking Ring

The locking ring secures the burr mount at your selected grind setting, preventing unintended adjustments during operation.

To change the grind setting, lift the locking ring until it clears the locating pins, rotate the burr mount to the desired position, and lower the ring back into place.
